It would not be wrong to say that Kareena Kapoor Khan’s career in the Indian film industry really took off after her memorable portrayal of Geet in the Imtiaz Ali directorial, Jab We Met. The starlet bagged many awards for the film, which also starred her then beau Shahid Kapoor.

Since then, there has been quite a lot of chatter surrounding Kareena’s return as Geet, if Imtiaz opts for a sequel. However, it seems like Kareena herself has picked someone else to play the protagonist now. The actor wants popular social media personality, Kusha Kapila, to fill her shoes if a sequel happens.

The Bollywood actor jokingly shared that she is ready to start a petition for Kusha as well. She expressed her thoughts after Kusha enacted how Geet would speak if she was from South Delhi. “Main apni favourite South Delhi girl hoon (I am my favourite South Delhi girl),” she captioned the video, featuring numerous fictional situations and reacting like the character from the film.

Kareena took to the comments section and wrote, “Petition for remaking Jab we met 2 with @kushakapila,” adding a few laughing emojis. A surprised Kusha replied, “omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg.”

The filmmaker shared the video on his Instagram stories for fans to watch. The 2007 hit was well-received by audiences and critics alike. Not only Bebo’s role, but the dialogues, songs and outfits drew massive attention too, with many girls dressing and talking like Geet.

Currently, Kareena is finding her way back to work after giving birth to her second child with her husband and actor Saif Ali Khan. The couple, who is already parents to four-year-old Taimur Ali Khan, welcomed their second son in February this year.
