Manish Malhotra to direct Kriti Sanon in Meena Kumari biopic


In a remarkable career move, renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra is preparing to step into the realm of filmmaking by taking on the role of director. According to Filmfare and The Times of India, the ace stylist may just be preparing to helm a biographical film that pays tribute to the late Indian cinema legend, Meena Kumari.

Taking on the challenging task of portraying the iconic star on the silver screen is the talented Bollywood actor Kriti Sanon, who was recently seen trying to make the most of her role in Adipurush. Reports indicate that the esteemed film production company T-Series, led by the visionary Bhushan Kumar, is backing this ambitious project.

The current focus lies on developing a compelling script that does justice to the captivating life of Kumari, often referred to as the tragedy queen of Indian cinema. Malhotra has openly expressed his deep-rooted desire to recreate the mesmerising aura that surrounded the late incomparable star, making this potential directorial opportunity a long-cherished dream for him.
