After Karachi Kings five consecutive losses at the seventh installment of Pakistan Super League (PSL), fans have been nothing but disappointed with the team’s question-worthy performance. Many have taken to Twitter and called out the team management and players for an awful team.
However, filmmaker Nabeel Qureshi has shared his own suggestion for KK to take on as a player. Taking to aTwitter, the director shared, “I think Karachi Kings should have taken Fahad Mustafa in their team, he would have performed better than some of their players! Itna cricket khelta hai inko nazar nahi ata hai kya [He plays so much cricket, can’t they (Karachi Kings) see?]”
To this, Fahad responded, “Kia karen aap film banayen na [you cast me in a film]. I will stop playing.”
Replying to Fahad, the filmmaker hinted at a possibility of working on a film based on cricket. “Haha ye bhi sahi hai chalo cricket per film banaletey hain dono cheezien hijaye gi haha [You’re right! Let’s make a film about cricket. Killing two birds with one stone.”
Fahad and Nabeel have worked on several projects together. Fahad starred in multiple Nabeel and Fizza Ali Meerza projects, namely Na Maloom Afraad, Na Maloom Afraad 2, Actor in Law and Load Wedding. The pair is now reuniting for Mahira Khan-starrer, Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad. The film will mark the first time Mahira and Fahad will be sharing the screen together. Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad is slated to release this year.
