The Jets began the week as 2.5-point favorites over the Jaguars, but the line dropped to a pick ’em Wednesday, after reports of a COVID-19 outbreak with New York. Fifteen members of the Jets, including coach Robert Saleh, are on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
The Jets and Detroit Lions are the only teams this season yet to be favored. The last time the Jets were the betting favorites was Oct. 1, 2020, against the Denver Broncos. The Jets closed as consensus 1-point favorites over the Broncos and lost 37-28 in a Thursday night game between two winless teams.
Since 2017, the Jets have been favored in 11 games, the fewest in the league. They are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games as the favorite.
