On Wednesday, a school teacher was killed in a bombing in the Mamond tehsil of the Bajaur tribal district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).

He is the fifth teacher in Bajaur to be killed in a bomb blast or a shooting event in the recent past.

According to the Express Tribune, Mufti Shafiullah was an Arabic teacher at Government High School Badan when he was targeted in a roadside bomb strike while on his way to school.

It is worth noting that in Bajaur, five instructors have been killed in this manner in the last year. They were all members of the JUI-F.

On the other hand, the All Teachers Association of Bajaur expressed grave worry over yet another teacher being targeted in the district.

Amanullah, the association’s president, stated that the government has entirely failed to protect teachers.

He told a press conference that five teachers had been killed in the district and that police had failed to apprehend the perpetrators.

“If the government ignores our demands, we will take to the streets with students to film our protest,” he warned.
