Virat Kohli is now the world’s leading run-scorer in T20Is with 3001 runs in 81 innings. After his match-winning knock of 73* (49) against England in the 2nd T20I, he became the first-ever batsman to cross the 3000 runs figure in T20I cricket.

A belligerent 56 off 32 balls from debutant Ishan Kishan and an unbeaten 73 from captain Virat Kohli helped India to a commanding seven-wicket win over England in the second Twenty20 International in Ahmedabad.

Kishan, 22, smashed leg-spinner Adil Rashid for two consecutive sixes to get past fifty on Sunday as India made short work of a 165-run target to win with 13 balls to spare and level the five-match series at 1-1.
